For 2023 Promigás has planned invest close to 877,400 million pesos of which, approximately 70 percent (614,200 million pesos) will remain in Colombia and the remaining 30 percent (263,200 million pesos) will be for Peru.
According to the company, the investment plan approved by the board of directors for this year is focused on the development of the territories where the company operates and represents an increase of 12 percentwith respect to the investments executed in 2022.

«This plan is in line with the company’s corporate strategy and addresses its challenges in terms of new businesses, sustainability and good governance, human talent for energy transformation, as well as innovation, technology and digital transformation,» he added.
Of the total investments, 743,600 million pesos will be used to consolidate the growth of its gas transportation and gas and electricity distribution businesses. The goal is to connect about 368,000 new users in Colombia and Peru.

The president of Promigás, Juan Manuel Rojas, highlighted that last year the company fulfilled these two services to 467,575 new users residential, industrial and commercial, impacting about 1.5 million people. Of this total, 453,344 were natural gas and 14,231 electric power.
It was also modified that 930,000 people stopped cooking with firewood, thus contributing to improving their living and health conditions, in addition to generating an income for them. savings of 52,000 pesos per month by the use of natural gas.
Likewise, there will be 119,400 million pesos for auto and cogeneration businesses and photovoltaic solar generation; 14,400 million pesos in R&D in green gases and digital transformation.

It is expected to add more than 42 additional megawatts in solar projects for shopping centers, hotels, universities or residential users. Of this total, by the end of the year, 24 megawatts would be in operation and 18 megawatts under construction, to reach a total capacity of 87 megawatts in 2023, both in the Caribbean and the Pacific.
Additionally, 1.1 trillion will be allocated to placement of credits through the Brilla non-bank financing program. In 2022, 1.02 trillion were allocated, of which 44 percent were allocated by users for home purchases; 24 percent was for construction works; 16 percent for mobility and 7 percent for education and purchase of computers.
Promigás plans also include the implementation of the decarbonization roadmap and the installation of more than 11,000 new prepaid meters and scope 160 new vehicles dedicated to natural gasthat would be added to the 2,800 vehicles that were closed last year.
