World Cup 2022: Portugal defeats Ghana 3-2, Ronaldo makes history

Portugal won their first match of the World Cup 2022defeating Ghana 3-2 on Thursday night in Qatar.

The five goals came in the last 45 minutes of play, but Portugal beat Ghana to secure a win in Group H.

Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo started the scoring in the 65th minute, putting Portugal up 1-0 by converting a penalty.

Ronaldo became the first male player to score in five World Cups with the goal.

However, his heroism alone was not enough for Portugal to earn all three points as Ghana tied the game at 1-1 with a goal from Ghana’s Andre Ayew in the 73rd minute.

Portugal responded quickly, scoring goals in the 78th and 80th minute to close out the game.
