The streets of the capital of Ecuador were once again the scene of violent disturbances when there were clashes between police officers and students.
The clashes occurred a day after a march called by unions against the labor policy of the Rafael Correa government led to a pitched battle.
The Minister of the Interior, José Serrano, announced this Thursday morning his intention to initiate judicial actions against the alleged aggressors of police officers.
