After his contract with the Astana team was terminated, for apparently being involved in a scandal of alleged drug trafficking, the Boyacá cyclist Miguel Angel ‘Superman’ Lopez He ran again in Colombia.
The cyclist from Pesca, Boyacá, built with the Antioquia team ‘Team Medellín’, and already ran last weekend. López was fourth in the Jenesano Circuit, Boyacá.
Now, due to the scandal that surrounded his arrival in the country, López was questioned about the plot related to alleged doping in which he ended up involved, in Europe.
His reaction was accurate: «I do not have ‘doping’, my biological passport is intact» (sic).
Also: ‘Piqué, so that I mortify you’: this is how the new song by Shakira and Bizarrap sounds).
‘I do not have doping’

Lopez arrived in Colombia, as his name appears in the fourth court of Cáceres (Spain), which is investigating the doping plot called operation Ilex, directed by the doctor Carlos Maynar.
López can run, he does not have any sanctions, but everything indicates that he cannot do it in the ‘Major Leagues’ of cycling, since this investigation into the use and distribution of medicines seems to have prevented him from being hired by teams in Europe.
In this regard, ‘Supermán’ stated, in a chat with ‘ADN Cycling’: «The whole situation that has happened and has been happening was somewhat complicated, despite the fact that we had already assimilated it as a family. The team was aware and there was no inconvenient and that is why the renegotiation took place and we had advanced towards 2023. We went ahead because it was supposed to be a misunderstanding. I have no doping, my biological passport is intact. Going out like that was tough on December 15, for Christmas it was tough.»
«What happened at the end of the year with my previous team are things of life, sometimes you have to back down and take momentum to give a giant one. I am excited to run in my country, for example, a Tour of Colombia since I left the World Tour. I thought I was going to retire without that race or if an RCN classic ”, he added.
«The illusion of being on a World Tour and being in the three big races is not closed to me. Movistar’s year was not a super year for me, this year that left was not easy either. I have no problem with everything that it is said and spoken. I see myself doing the results in great tours. I am not the ‘recucho’ for not going again. I see myself fighting the battle for five or six more years «conclusion.
