Devils fans throw beer cans onto the ice after NHL referees disallow New Jersey’s third goal
New Jersey Devils fans were not happy about the referees disallowing a goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs and began throwing beer and other items onto the ice in frustration. The Maple Leafs, leading 2-0 with 11:07 left in the third quarter against the Devils, a team riding a 13-game winning streak, returned to their locker room to avoid being hit by debris.
