Although this measure was in force until April 5, the Government has decided to extend it for one more year due to persistent upward pressures on production costs in the agricultural sector, which has impacted the basic basket of Colombians. The decision to extend the benefit was made after the recommendations of the Triple A Committee and the endorsement of the Higher Council for Fiscal Policy (Confis).

However, it is established that this measure will be evaluated periodically to determine if a new extension is required. The intention is to analyze the impact of the measure on the economy and assess its effectiveness in mitigating the effects of inflation in food prices.
