The project has a total length of 465 kilometers from the municipality of San Roque (Cesar) to the Y of Ciénaga (Magdalena) and from Carmen de Bolívar (Bolívar) to Valledupar (Cesar).

The construction of 476 kilometers of dual carriageway is planned, the improvement of 465 kilometers and the operation and maintenance of 941. To date, 307.72 kilometers of new track have been built and 208.84 have been improved, for an advance of 55.5 percent.
