The document was known by official sources and it is read that the pension reform seeks “guarantee protection against contingencies derived from old age, disability and death by recognizing the social rights of people that are determined in this Law to through a system of pillars, based on the principles of universality, solidarity and efficiency”.
However, several doubts have arisen regarding the proposal presented by the government. EL TIEMPO tells you about the qualities of the users who should quote their pension weeks in Colpensiones according to the new reform.
On page 6 of the document, the concept of “contributory pillar” is explained, referring to all workers who are affiliated to the Colpensiones system, where the entity will receive contributions of up to the first three minimum wages quoted.
On the other hand, the Pension Fund Administrators will receive contributions that exceed three minimum wages.
(In addition: Do you have more than 1,000 weeks of contributions? The pension reform would not affect you)
That is, if a person receives 8 minimum wages, must make the contribution of three of them with Colpensiones, and the rest, you can take them to the private fund entity of your choice.
When the time comes to access the pensionthese two contributions will be added and a single average will be made for the old-age pension.
The proposal is aimed at all those workers who present income of up to 4 minimum wages in their wages.
