Workers who have an employment relationship through a fixed or indefinite term contract will receive a mid-year and end-of-year premium. This does not apply to contracts such as those for the provision of services, since in them there is no employment relationship with the employee or also those who have agreed with their employees the payment of a full salary.
The service premium consists of the delivery of a salary, which isIt is distributed in two payments, the first half delivered in June and the second at the end of the year.
This premium is established in the Article 306 of the Substantive Labor Code, in which employers are required to pay this social benefit.
The employee has until June 30 to cancel the premium for services to their employees, among which are also those of domestic service, family service drivers, for days or part time.

What happens if a worker does not pay the service premium?
The worker who does not make the payment of this benefit or does not do so on the dates set for it -until June 30-, You may be subject to penalties for not doing so in accordance with the law.
Employees can make claims to the Ministry of Labor for this situation and in this way it will even affect the working environment of the company.

If a worker decides to take legal action on this condition, A judge may order immediate payment of the benefit or even establish a legal sanctions for not having paid the premium.
