The Ministry of Labor is finalizing the final text of the labor reform to bring before the Congress of the Republic. one of the most important bets of President Gustavo Petro after the presentation a couple of weeks ago of the health reform that keeps the main players in the sector on the lookout.

Marches in support of the Petro government
Need job stability for those who perform permanent functions in the public and private sectors
“It has become clear that lowering wage costs does not increase employment or decrease labor informality. For this reason, with this reform we aspire to recover the rights that we have lost in these 30 years,” said Francisco Maltés, president of the Central Unitaria de Trabajadores (CUT).
The CUT strengthened the call for citizens to march on March 16 «in defense of the social reforms of the Petro government.» For now, the call will be for Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga and Pereira, although more cities and unions are expected to join.
“We need job stability for those who perform permanent functions in the public and private sectors, that they return our nightly surcharges from 6 in the afternoon, that they pay us triple the Sunday rate as contemplated before Law 789 and that a million apprentices from the Sena will have an apprenticeship contract”, declared Maltés.
(Be sure to read: ‘We’re looking to pay employees back for late-night charges and overtime.’)

Along the same lines, the Minister Gloria Ramírezconsidering that the reform will recover the rights of the workers that were lost with the entry into force of Law 789 of 2002.
«We want the nighttime surcharges and overtime to be returned to the workers, let’s remember that the goal of that law was to generate about 600,000 jobs in a year sacrificing labor rights and only 240,000 jobs were achieved, that is, , that the objective was not met, but for more than 21 years there has been a cut in rights,» he said.
(We recommend: Note: this would be the contracts for the provision of services with the labor reform).
Marches against the Petro government
I believe that Colombians did not vote for this and are convinced of what is happening
Unlike the COURT, The National Salvation party, headed by former presidential candidate Enrique Gómez, called for demonstrations on March 15.
These arise from the scandal involving Nicolás Petroson of the president, allegedly receiving sums of money of dubious origin during the campaign and an intermediary supposedly for quotas in different organizations, according to his ex-wife Day Vásquez.
(In context: They call for a new day of protests against the Petro government).
«I believe that Colombians did not vote for this and they are convinced of what is happening. It is clear that the submission law, or at least the draft that the Petro government presented to Congress, favors the big bosses of the organizations criminals in the country,” said Gómez.
I am sure that no Colombian voted for what we are experiencing because of the antics of the son that his mothers learned from his father: receiving money in bags. On March 15 we went out to once again show our rejection, not only of the clientelist disaster, but also against the reforms: pic.twitter.com/LN214VlW9K
