The Government of Gustavo Petro filed the bill of the National Development Plan.

It could intervene in the San Juan de Dios hospital in Bogotá or modify Families in Action, among others

If approved by Congress as is, the Plan would give the President a series of extraordinary powers for six months, counted from the date of publication of the law.

gustavo petro it could directly create, split, merge, suppress, integrate or modify the legal nature of the entities of the Executive Branch; as well as modify its objectives, functions, organic structure and legal regime.

It will also have powers to intervene in the San Juan de Dios Hospital in Bogotamodify the Families and Youth in Action programs or regulate the alternative uses of the coca plant, cannabis and the medicinal, therapeutic and scientific purposes of psychoactive substances.

The Government of Gustavo Petro is presenting in the Congress of the Republic the bill of the National Development Plan 2022-2026.

The faculties that you will no longer have

Despite the fact that more faculties came in the draft of the Plan that was released last week, in the end, not all of them appeared in the final project.

Along the way, some fell, such as the creation or liquidation of companies of the electric sector or to modify the Superintendency of Companies and the Industry and Commerce.

Nor will it have extraordinary powers to create the National Digital Security Agency or create a public entity whose main objective is the promotion of the construction, improvement and conservation of local or regional roads.
