The company made the decision after the trademark lawsuit it had for several years with the Easygroup group.

The English holding Easy Group, owner of the EasyJet airline, which flies in Europe and part of Africa, alleged for years that the Colombian company Easyfly, allegedly usurped its name by using the word “Easy”. That was the reason why the Colombian decided to change her name from August and now it will become Click.

In the lawsuit that the companies had since 2020 and that reached the London courts, the Colombian company argued that His name is the acronym of his company name: Empresa Aérea de Servicios y Facilitación Logística Integral SA, registered trademark, used and protected in Colombia since 2006.

By signing the two companies they reached an agreement and this includes the change of name of the Colombian to leave the brand free and avoid the regional airline from an economic sanction.

The agencies highlight the importance of the aerial reopening. In this direction goes Easyfly, which operates from today the pilot routes Rionegro-Pereira and Rionegro-Bucaramanga.

“For now, we inform you that Easyfly will soon become Clic, the new brand is the emotional connection we have with people, places and our country. This emanates our origins, roots and essence, with which we are proud and belonging to each of the places we fly to,” said the Colombian company.

The airline also added that it continues in the process of business reorganization due to the pandemic.

“After this year we have paid more than $72,000 million to our creditors, responding to the vote of confidence that they deposited in the company,” they added.

The company clarified that the change is only due to the lawsuit, but also “It is an opportunity in which we will be reborn showing our purpose as a company and the differential value in the offer of services that we offer”.
