The signs of economic slowdown are becoming more evident. The production of the manufacturing industry, as well as trade sales in March, were in negative territory in the third month of this year, as revealed by the National Administrative Department of Statistics (Dane).

According to the official statistical entity, the real production of the manufacturing industry presented a real variation of -2 percent in March, while sales fell 3.1 percent and employed personnel 1.1 percent.
For his part, heReal retail sales decreased 7.1 percent, although employed personnel grew 4.3 percent in relation to the same month in 2022. When eliminating fuel sales, the sector variation was -8.3 percent, corresponds to Dane.
