With a lot of work and effort we are going to continue expanding the networks, the service, and more in Colombia. The truth is that Telefónica has made a bet that has been decided by fiber optics and we are more than convinced that this is the connectivity that is needed, that it is the ideal productivity platform. That is fiber optics and that is what we have bet on. We already have more than 16 million connected homes, we have reached one million customers in Argentina and Colombia and we are also very close to achieving that goal in Chile.

How does the new Bogota Digital Operations Center (DOC) work?
It joins the one created last year in Madrid, to complement its global cybersecurity and cloud operations capabilities. It is to reinforce operation services in all the countries in which the company is present, especially in the region and in the United States, It allows us to provide support with extended hours to customers in Europe and resolve any incident.
What other capabilities does the DOC bring to the country?
Here we have a great opportunity not only for Colombia but for the region, and it is to take advantage of this technology and this platform to be able to serve our clients. I believe that this is for the service and care of users and companies. What comes next is developing the talent that we have in the country, taking advantage of it with large companies, with the Government, with SMEs, since services can be provided from here to other nations, helping people and the business fabric.
What else is coming to the region?
Cybersecurity and fiber optics, plus we have more choice with Cloud. It is very important because the two combined technologies are very powerful. We are going to continue developing the country’s capabilities for the region in B2B services for our corporate clients, but for now we are extremely proud to put the center in Colombia into service.
