Process that can be requested through the Unemployment Protection Mechanism, created by the Ministry of Labor in 2013. A plan for the articulation of active and passive labor market policies that intends to guarantee the social protection of workers.

The idea is to maintain access to health, the pension system, the family subsidy and intermediation and job training services, despite the fact that there is no source of income.
according to Article 2 of Law 2225 of 2022, the beneficiary will have 1.5 current minimum wages (the value of this unit in 2023 is 1,160,000 pesos) that will be delivered over four months in a decreasing manner for categories A and B.

Which are the requirements?
In this sense, these are the conditions that you must meet to request the subsidy in your box, according to the guidelines of the law.

- be a worker who have contributed in category A or B of the salary standard.
- Have been an employee or self-employed.
- That your employment contract has ended and you do not have other income to survive.
- Workers who have made voluntary contributions to a Family Compensation Fund for 12 months, followed or not, in the last three years for dependents. In the case of independent collaborators, the requirement is two years continuous or discontinuous.
- Not be active in an EPS.
- Have completed the employment route process (employment orientation and registration to the training course(s) of the compensation entity.
How to apply?
If you meet the requirements, you must present the following documents to your last compensation fund to apply for the subsidy, according to the Ministry of Labor.
