Every year, especially in the middle of the year, It is common for gambling buyers to bet on the number 716 or 0716, which is the month and day of the Virgen del Carmen.
As reported by EL TIEMPO, in August 2014, 6,996 people in Antioquia won the Medellín Lottery with 716. In June 2016, in the department of Atlántico, 1,100 winners were registered with 0716, the same number with which thousands of people won in July 2015 in the department of Bolívar.

If we are talking about popular lottery numbers, 1128 cannot be left out of the list. It refers to the grave number of Diomedes Díaz in the Jardines del Ecce Homo cemetery in Valledupar.
According to various media reports, including EL TIEMPO, more than four thousand people won the biggest prize of the Bogotá lottery in August 2022 with the number 1128, which made it a favorite combination for gamblers.
The numbers related to Diomedes Díaz are widely played in the country.

Although this is one of the most popular numbers, it is not the only one. The buyers also bet with the 2657, date in which the ‘Cacique’ was born; 1222, for the month and day of death of Diomedes; 2622, alluding to the day of his birth and death; 1957, the year of birth of the famous artist; 5726, for the year and day he was born; 2213, for the day and year in which he died; 0526, in reference to the month and day in which he was born and 1622, which is the day of the Virgen del Carmen and her death.
As Paga Todo explains, in games of chance the lucky numbers are generally 5, 7 and 8.
