Latam Airlines Colombia launched to the public a quick and easy way to make the flight confirmation, so that users have a more agile and simple digital experience. “You will no longer have to ‘Check-in’ to obtain your boarding pass, we will do it for you”, the airline stated through its website.

This new modality has many benefits, because if you travel only with hand luggage, you can go directly to boarding; while if you go with hold luggage, you must label your bags at the self-service kiosks and go to the established space to be able to dispatch them. It is that easy to fly nationally now.
How does the new automatic ‘Check-in’ work?
When you buy your ticket, Latam Airlines will give you a provisional boarding pass and, with the data you entered in their portals, the air travel company will be in charge of making the ‘Check-in’ automatically.
“At the time of purchase, we will send you an email or WhatsApp with your flight information. If you do not receive a notification, you can fill in your information in our ‘Check-in’ section when you are 72 hours away from the flight”, details Latam.
If you do not have your boarding pass, you can access it through the airline’s website, by going to the ‘My Trips’ section.

There are some cases in which, however, you have to complete your details to activate the automatic ‘Check-in’. These son:
– If your trip is international.
– If you bought the ticket through an agency or another website.
All this information can be provided 72 hours before your flight in the ‘My trips’ section or in ‘Automatic check-in’, by selecting your boarding pass.

What will you be able to do once you have your boarding pass?
Before your flight: change seats or add more luggage -depending on the card you bought, it may have a cost or be totally free-.
In the airport: see the gate number that you can go to, since all changes that are made will be reflected directly on the boarding pass.
