Gustavo Morales Cobo, new executive president of Fasecolda – Sectors – Economy

In the meeting of the board of directors for the month of February, held this Thursday, the Federation of Colombian Insurers (Fasecolda) elected Gustavo Morales Cobo as its new executive president of the guild.

He is a lawyer from the Universidad de los Andes with International Studies from the Diplomatic School of Madrid (Spain). He will take office this Friday, February 17.

Also has more than 30 years of work experience and has held various positions in the public sector such as auxiliary magistrate of the Constitutional Court, private secretary of the Ministry of Finance, advisor to the Legislative Unit, legal head of the Ministry of Transportation and the National Planning Department, and Superintendent of Health.

In the union sector he has served as Executive Vice President of FasecoldaVice President of the Chamber of Infrastructure, Vice President of the Colombian Petroleum Association, President of Afidro and President of Acemi.

Likewise, he has worked as a university professor, mainly in the University of the Andesin the subjects of constitutional law, legal theory, legal sociology and social security law.

Since December, and after the resignation of Miguel Gómez Martínez, Fasecolda developed its activities under the leadership of David Colmenares Spence, president of the board of directors and CEO of Allianz Colombia.
