A Colombian company was selected by Forbes and Statista as the best in the world for women: Grupo Argos.
To create the ranking, the specialized media will identify the 400 most outstanding companies in the defense of women at work.
«The most awarded not only offer competitive salaries and great opportunities for professional promotion, but also flexible work modalities that, according to experts, are essential to correct gender inequalities,» they explain.
To develop this classification, Statista found some 85,000 women who worked in multinational institutions in 36 countries to determine whether they stood out in terms of gender equality in terms of career advancement opportunities, parental leave, etc.
With 13,000 employees, Grupo Argos is a Colombian conglomerate with investments in the infrastructure sector, with businesses in energy, highway and airport concessions, and cement.
At a national and international level, several of its companies have been recognized for their commitment to gender equity and inclusion.

The labor gap
The gender labor gap worsened after the pandemic and the recovery of female jobs has been slower.
The International Labor Organization (ILO) highlights that in the impact by region, America the greatest loss of women’s jobs due to the pandemic decreased, with 9.4% of jobs lost, compared to a decrease of 7% in the case of men.
And the problem is not only related to vacancies. By 2022, according to a Deloitte report, which had a sample of 5,000 women from 10 countries, one in 10 women is actively looking for a new position, since 56 percent say they are little or not satisfied with their work.
