Gasoline price will rise 600 pesos in July: this is how it will be by city – Sectors – Economy

As of this Saturday, July 1, the price of regular motor gasoline will have an increase of $600 pesos per gallon.

The increase in the price of fuel occurs in the program proposed by the National Government since October 2022 to reduce the subsidy for the value of fuels in Colombia to reduce the deficit of the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund.

The price of diesel will remain stable, according to information shared by the National Government.

The 13 cities that will have the first increases will be: Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Montería, Bucaramanga, Villavicencio, Pereira, Cañizales, Ibagué, Pasto and Cúcuta.

“It is important to highlight that, including this adjustment, Colombia continues to have one of the most competitive gasoline and diesel prices in Latin America due to the operation of the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund (FEPC), which has mitigated the pressure inflation of the increases in the prices of oil and its derivatives in recent months,” said the Ministry of Finance.

It is said that with this new increase the average value of regular gasoline would have risen $3,810 pesos per gallon so far during the Petro government.
