The high prices of electricity is one of the great headaches that Colombians have had to face since September 2021 when rates began to rise considerably.
Although this trend will stop in August 2022, rates remain high. According to Dane, last January electricity costs increased 20.95 percent annually.

The most affected have been the inhabitants of the seven departments of the Caribbean region, in addition to those who live in Bucaramanga, Cucuta and Medellinwhich registered an increase higher than the national average.
Given high prices, it is important to have an efficient use of this resource, which can be translated into savings that can be seen reflected in the total value of the monthly invoice.
