Saúl Kattan reiterated that there are no sales plans for said ‘fracking’ operation in the US.

in past days Saúl Kattan was questioned by this newspaper about the future of the different businesses that Ecopetrolwhose Board he chairs, have in the short term.
In this regard, Kattan revealed, among others, that there are no planes to buy gas from Venezuela: “we are not considering importing gas from anywhere. We are working with the gas we have and it is a significant quantity”.
In this regard, he reiterated that «First of all, we must work on the country’s energy sovereignty.»
Regarding other businesses, such as the exploration via fracking that Ecopetrol has abroad, Saúl Kattan reiterated that there are no plans to sell said operation in an interview with this newspaper.
“In the United States we have a fracking operation that is interesting and that it is profitable», while I reiterate that «for now it continues» and that there are no sales plans.
Finally, he made it clear that all businesses and that Ecopetrol has operations in Colombia and abroad, will be duly analyzed by the Board at the time and that everything resulted from future conditions and that all «decisions will be purely technical and economic for the company.»
