Driving license for motorcycles: these are the steps you must follow

Motorcycles constitute 61% of the national vehicle park. According to a report from the Single National Traffic Registry (Runt), 10,937,652 of the 18,082,451 vehicles registered in Colombia are motorcycles.

This means that the driving licenses for said vehicle should be equivalent, since this is a mandatory document to drive.

Step by step to obtain the motorcycle pass

The license classification depends on the cylinder of the vehicles you can drive. If it is greater than 125 cc it must be A2, if it is less than A1.

When you are going to get the document you must:

– Bring the original of the identity document, which can be a citizenship card, password, foreigner’s card or valid passport.

– Pay the processing fees at the corresponding service points.

If you are in Bogotá, you must schedule an appointment at the Bogotá Mobility Single Window (VUS), where your data will be verified and you will have to make the corresponding payment.
