Dollar: this was what dropped its value this week in Colombia – Financial Sector – Economy

The price of the dollar in the Colombian interbank market ended the week with a drop of 69.3 pesos, after its average price reached 4,849.65 pesos this Friday at the close of the market. The representative market rate (TRM) began on February 20 at 4,918.94 pesos.

In this way, the US currency moves a little further from the level of 5,000 pesos, since the previous Friday it was only 33.7 pesos from it when the TRM stood at 4,966 pesos, according to records from the Bank of the Republic.

with the average trading rate of the dollar this Friday, the official rate that will govern this weekend and on Monday, February 27, will be around 4,850 pesos.

The average rate registered this Friday is 40 pesos above the value registered at the beginning of the year of 4,810 pesos, but 212.2 pesos below the historical maximum registered at the beginning of November 2022.

Despite the fact that the currency price began this last day of the week with a rise, marking a price of 4,880 pesos, as the session progressed it interrupted a minimum price of 4,820 pesos, to finally close at 4,843.5 pesos.
