Corficolombiana enters the sustainability ranking of Standard & Poor’s – Companies – Economy

‘The Sustainability Yearbook’, in Spanish Anuario de Sostenibilidad 2023, by S&P Global is a list in which the world’s leading companies are located based on sustainable business practices, as indicated by its official website.

“The rigor of our Corporate Sustainability Assessment, or CSA, is what makes identifying these companies possible. Over the past 24 years, the CSA has become a leading corporate sustainability database,” said Douglas Peterson, president and chief executive officer of S&P Global.

In relation to this, For the first time, the Colombian company Corficolombiana was included in the 2023 Sustainability Yearbook, in an edition in which a record number of organizations participated.

7,800 companies from 61 industries were evaluated, for which 14 million pieces of data were collected to give the final rating, they said in a statement shared by the organization.

To be listed in the Yearbook, companies must score in the top 15% of their industry globally. This year, only 708 high-performance companies in sustainability were included in the Yearbook and only 13 of them are Colombian,» they detailed.

The recognition is added to that of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index in which this company enters for the third consecutive year, occupying position number 14.
