It is a silver colored coin (copper and nickel alloy), with a diameter of 35 millimeters and a weight of 21.75 grams.
On its obverse it shows the Image of Policarpa Salavarrieta, based on an 1855 portrait by the painter José María Espinosaand the legend «POLICARPA SALAVARRIETA» and «200 YEARS OF THE HEROIN SACRIFICE».
The reverse presents the famous house of GuaduasCundinamarca, where he lived. “It is located just over a block from the main park and its construction, on one level, with bahareque walls and a palm roof, is testimony to the daily life of a family of medium wealth in its time”narrates the Bank in its statement.
