The National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH) reported that oil production during November 2022 reached 771,008 barrels per day (bpd), an increase of 3.11 percent compared to the same month in 2021 when it was 747,772 bpd.

This production is the highest recorded since April 2020, when it reached 796,164 average barrels per day. Compared to October 2022, the data for November means an increase of 1.85 percent, since for that month production reached 752,002 bpd.

The increase in oil production occurred mainly in the Caño Sur Este, Índico, Calona, Quifa, Akacías, Chichimene, Chichimene SW, Caño Limón SW and La Belleza fields, due to the production restoration after the affectation by deferred and the entry of new wells.

The annual average production, between January and November 2022, was 750,925 bpd, which represents a increase of 2.09 percent compared to what was registered for the same period of 2021, when it reached 735,541 bpd.

Regarding natural gas, the ANH reported that the average production during November 2022 was 3.87 percent, going from 1,102 to 1,059 million cubic feet per day (mcfd).

But if it is compared with the data from October last year, production grew 11.8 percent, since 947 mcfd had been registered in that month. This increase will be due to the reestablishment of operations in the Cusiana field, after the preventive maintenance carried out in October.

Faced with new hydrocarbon investigations, in November four discovery notices were reported of the Uchuva-1, Claxón-1, Gorgon-2 ST2 (natural gas) and Rose-1 ST1 (oil) wells.
